Caroline Lorre and Len Lauro are the singing, writing and driving force behind Year Of The Wild Cat, founded in 1992 after inspiration from a Damded concert in NY at the Ritz. Caroline brings her theatrical backround and a 30 year passion for rock and roll to the band in her role as lead singer and front person for Year Of The Wild Cat. Len Lauro freelanced his bass playing on the East Coast during the 70s and 80s before joining with Caroline to form Year Of The Wild Cat. Now, living on the West Coast, Year Of The Wild Cat actively gigs using a number of stunning players including Adam Briggs - formally the drummer for the Teenage Harlets - and Jim Bove - freelance drummer who does most of their current shows. "There's some formal training, some street wise, but all in all Year Of The Wild Cat aims to deliver great songs the best way we can and with the fun it takes to be Rock and Roll. It wasn't like that in New York where Year Of The Wild Cat was ousted (ASKED TO LEAVE!) just about every club we played - or attempted to. Times were different in the early 90s and it would seem that the band was not really appreciated, partly because of the lame-ass suburban attitudes that were prevalent and partly because Year Of The Wild Cat (called PROBLEM at the time) didn't like them either but things are great here in California where we continue to write, sing, record, gig, and I hope, inspire."

After the triumphant release of the "Six" EP, and the “Up Chuk Skat” Digi-Single, Rayko/KRB is at it again with “The RockStar Poor LP”. This new album promises to go for the throat of mainstream radio, while retaining the originality that Rayko/KRB fans have become familiar with. The guitar licks will still fly, but this time the beats are heavier, relying more on retro drum machines, fat synth bass lines, and soaring guest vocalists.

“The RockStar Poor LP” features a wide range of sonic moods, all fused together by Rayko’s singular voice. Shooting has begun for the first video, “RockStar Poor”, a song that deals with the realities of being an independent musician in a changing music landscape. Rayko’s down-on-his-luck theme carries over to “Better Daze”, a track that speaks of a whimsical past, and hopes for a better tomorrow. The emotive ballad “Simple Love Song” delivers, for the first time, a heartfelt and very personal three and half minutes of Rayko. “Simple Love Song” has already placed #2 on The PMC Top Ten, with an audience of over 200,000 listeners. Rayko kicks up the jams in “Charp”. His opening line, “It’s Rayko Pipes and I’ve got that swagger”, sets the stage for a confident and funkyfied track, featuring choruses by the incomparable Takis. Another album stand-out, “Identity”, explores the many voices living in disharmony inside Rayko’s head.

Over the last year C.C. Chapman of AccidentHash, has played nearly all of Rayko/KRB’s songs on Sirius Satellite Radio. The enthusiastic response from global podcasters, and independent radio propelled Rayko/KRB through months of live, on-stage shenanigans, culminating in an explosive performance at SunFest in West Palm Beach. Rayko/KRB also took the streets, hosting various jam sessions, and selling the “Six” EP door-to-door. The hardcore South Florida fan base has grown steadily, and is now anxiously awaiting fresh material. Fans around the world can connect with Rayko by watching “The Chronic-Ills”, Rayko’s own vidblog at www.myspace.com/raykokrb, and they can hit him up on www.raykokrb.com.

With “The RockStar Poor LP”, Rayko morphs into a persona he described best as the Anti-Justin Timberlake. Fans, broadcasters, and reviewers alike will revel in the fact that “pop” is no longer a dirty word, and Rayko/KRB is dishing out hook after soaring hook, ultra catchy tunes, and lyrics that are at once witty and introspective.

Ray Journal’s Grandfather was an undiscovered song writer. His Mother was also an undiscovered singer and song writer. At this point of his life he is also an undiscovered singer and songwriter. His next step is for the world to know who he is.

Ray was born in Coney Island, New York and had lived half of his life in Brooklyn and the other half in Queens. He spent his young life moving from home to home, school to school and no real friends. Ray Journal developed his love for music and a dark sarcastic sense of humor at a young age. In his late teens he became more mysterious. His love for music became greater, and his sense of humor even darker.

The reason he makes songs are well……yeah the money and fame, but the most important part is that there are people out there that feel the same way he does. The Goths, Punks, Industrials, Metal heads, Indies, Emos and so much more, he says that there will be a day that we will all speak in one voice. For every child growing up in the world, it’s rough. Give or take, out of every 5,000 children only one follows their dream. The world can do that to you. Ray Journal is one of them and he speaks for everyone for what they feel is right or wrong, their pain and their sorrow. No one understands every individual heart, but he can tell how people feel. Ray is not afraid to speak his mind. He doesn’t care what others have to say or think about him. “I have a voice and it will be heard,” he has said.

His music is somewhat industrial, with a touch of goth. His verses are gentle, mysterious, and dark that it will put you into a trance. As for his chorus, they are hard, strong and so disturbing that you can feel the pain in them. “We are all the Neglected Society. Don’t let the world destroy who you are. Follow you’re dream…..it’s your life!”
